CHANGE+ outside sat. night

+The moon shows a sign

Endless work tiredless grind

Thirsty for the world to know what's good,

A little research goes a long way,

Alone in the dressingroom the mind play tricks,

Like riding roller coasters with blindfolds,

Like kissing under the stairs,

Living these magazine moments just library silent,

This is your world to discover,

Your planet to imagine the next fantasy inside of,

A snowball with a beat,

The clouds travel to a beat,

Ultraviolet you are,

No matter how it seems now,

You will leave here with the most amazing story ever told.

Like pennies we need to keep.

READ

Sure this is old, many have already read it...blah blah blah...It's really long....Blah, Blah, Blah...But I have been reading it since last week and it's really funny and making me use my imagination adjacent to all the useless information I have collected over the years. So here it is.  Extremely Loud & incredibly Close+ Jonathan Safran Foer. I have on my table right now Oh The Glory of it All + Sean Wilsey, Tao Te Ching + Stephen Mitchell, and A brief History of Time + Stephen Hawking, which is really funny because it's mentioned a few times in the Foer book, which I know about...I got two of these from my new favorite place the used book store ie.

Thought+Process

I have ten-fifteen canvasses sitting in the studio ready for the next thing.  My mind keeps running the word "collection", "collection, collection, collection"...over and over again.  I realize the new studio, new "piece of mine", change from adverse directions,...are all playing a part in the build-up of whats to become of my artwork.  I think an artist is  and always will be,..kinda like a light switch that has duck tape over it and can't be turned off.  As of late, I have learned that this art is my loudest voice...It is my rap, it is my propaganda, my toy, my invention, fantasy, doo-dad, teardrop, scream... So as of late i've just been "thinking about it".  Thinking, thinking, reading, watching, looking under rugs, around corners, listening to the words to my favorite songs, watching shit happen in front of me on the train, in the park etc.  My homeboi called me and said in like one week, he saw a girl get killed in a bike accident, a gang fight involving like 30 dudes, and his bike got stolen from the bodega in like 2 minutes flat...I sat and thought of not how I could paint all the shit that happened to him, but more like....how do I paint the Gumbo of emotions inside of him, the sorrow, insecurity, frustration, the questions?  So i guess, I'm not sure,...I'm not sure what the next painting should or will be.  There is a world of beauty out there, so much to sit and marvel at from daydreams to night stars.  I can't tell you what this collection will be, but I do know that individuality, point of view, care, and love has to go into the work+All of our work+ Something more than I can explain, I think it's changing...without the brush moving it has already changed+

+Affinity Cyclone+oneday when I trade my lame bike in, it will be ugraded to something like thees.

Playing around w/ watercolors+Making allover print graphics+photoshop;illustratorCS3

To give you guys a perspective of some of the work I do outside of just painting here's a look at some pattern work I was playing with lstngt. The goal of this experiment was to translate some of my water color images into print/pattern work. I began with taking water color paper squares and creating designs that where organic and had some nice movement. The second step was to scan the water color images one by one and create a page of designs. I did the first portion in photoshop taking the images I created, desaturated the color and creating work paths for each individual design. After creating the work paths I then exporting them into illustrator CS3, there I was able to create vector images of the shapes and manipulate there size and colors to create individual squares to be used for repeats. I threw them in a few bodies and this is what turned out+ if you have any questions on the design process feel free to leave a comment and I'll try my best to explain. Hopefully I can post more design work as I continue to practice and experiment with a few new things.

OIL MEN+Painted Live "Artbattles" Brooklyn Museum 1st saturdays' event+Challenged...

Everybody might not like what you do
or even agree with it. Everybody is not going to purchase your work
or pat you on the back. Some people will say "your work sucks and you
do too" it just means (you) must continue. This is why they call this
(life), this is why we work harder than anybody else to get to the place
we now we can someday reach. Stay inspired, stay starting shit, stay
focused+
